One of the most fundamental parts of your Trek experience will be to identify one of your ancestors who was a pioneer, preferably one who came across the plains, and walk in memory of them. One of the purposes of our 2025 Trek is to look back and remember and appreciate the sacrifices of the pioneers and our families, and then press forward with faith In Jesus Christ.
Who from your family history inspires you? Is it a great grandparent or someone living now? Search your family history for someone who was a pioneer or who is a “modern day” pioneer! Learn everything you can about that person and find a photo if you can. Come to trek prepared to share their story!
We know this can be a very spiritual experience if done seriously and if you ask for the guidance of the spirit through the process. It will make Trek more meaningful to you as you come to know your ancestor and all they experienced and the faith they had.
